Cloning your Repository

• Point your browser to https://github.com/STAT-ATA-ASU.

• Find your repository (Stephen’s in the .gif).

• Click the Clone or download button.

• Clone with https - copy the address to the clipboard

• Open the RStudio IDE.

• Click the New Project icon.

• Select New Project > Version Control > Git.

• Paste the information on the clipboard in the Repository URL box.

• In the Project directory name box paste the last bit of information on the clipboard without the *.git.

• In the Create project as a subdirectory of: box select where you want the repository to be stored.

• Click the Create project button.

• Please upload an avatar or picture for your GitHub profile by

  • Logging into GitHub,

  • Clicking on the drop down triangle in the upper right pane of GitHub,

  • Selecting Settings > Upload new picture

  • Navigating to a picture (.gif, .png, .jpeg) on your local computer and selecting your profile picture/avatar.
